About
Sean Williams is a British reporter, writer and podcaster based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His subjects range from human rights and conflict to sport, culture and tech.
Sean’s work is published at titles including The New Yorker, Harper’s Magazine, Rolling Stone, GQ, The Daily Beast, The New Republic, Wired, The Economist, The Guardian, Sports Illustrated and many more. His 2022 Outside magazine feature “School of Rocks” was nominated for an ASME Award for Profile Writing, and was featured in the Best American Sports Writing anthology. Several of Sean’s stories have been optioned as screen projects.
Sean is also also co-creator and host of The Underworld Podcast, a weekly show investigating global organised crime with journalist Danny Gold.
Sean speaks Spanish and German to varying degrees of embarrassment. He enjoys all sports, most border terriers, and walking. He is not: the captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team who resigned over a drug scandal; a creator of Star Trek novels; a US-based finance reporter (seriously, PRs, quit it); nor a fourth Sean Williams it’s best not to discuss further.
